Here are a few of our recent reviews we'd like to share with you

We visited for Lunch with friends we were given a very warm welcome and quickly shown to our table, menu offered and drinks order taken. They had the usual pub favourites but also a variety of dishes you would expect in a top restaurants. We lunch out on on average four time a week and I would put The Carpenters in the top five in Kent. All our dishes were delicious and would highly recommend you to eat here.

Recommended by friends we weaved our way through narrow lanes on the north downs, aided by our satnav, to find this lovely Shepherd and Neame pub in the quaint village of Eastling. Our friends were sat at our window table and we settled down for a quiet and relaxing lunch at this comfortable pub, albeit wondering why so few others had done the same thing. Service was fast and friendly, adding to the experience and making this a must return venue. When returning to our cars in the neighbouring car park we understood why it was so quiet inside with many hardier folk enjoying their meals in the pleasant gardens behind the pub. Do pay this fine pub a visit, you will not be disappointed.

We were out for a family meal to celebrate my dads birthday. A table of 5, none of us had been here before. First impressions when entering the pub were very relaxed, welcoming and good ambience. We were seen to a nice comfortable table. The majority of the menu was what I would call proper pub food like pies, burgers, steaks etc. A real treat. We ordered starters and mains. All of us were very impressed with our meals. Traditional and great portion sizes. The service was great and we had a really good evening.

High quality food with good portion sizes. Prices are slightly higher than other local pub restaurants however you certainly get what you pay for. The seating is set out and spaced well so that the restaurant doesn't feel crowded when busy.

Food was very well priced. Steak was lovely with plenty and of sides. Beer was fresh. Bar staff were friendly. Local honey sold on the bar. I will return again soon.
